Managing Risk and Capital in a Volatile World – Business Simulation for the Insurance Industry: Innovative Web Forum from 12-16 April 2021 Feed RSS

News - 17/03/2021

We are very proud to offer the worlds' leading Business Simulation Game for the insurance industry as an online training for the first time.

In the past the EAA offered this special event in cooperation with TOPSIM and Swiss Re in an onsite environment. The excellent feedback from participants included statements like: "The best seminar till now! Thank you!" or "The best EAA event I have taken part in so far. Both: very useful and fun for me." or "The seminar was exceptional in terms of active participation." or "Simply amazing!". You can find two video statements by former participants on our
event website as well.

Do you want to take this challenge, work in international teams, and learn how to succeed in Europe's insurance markets by understanding the impacts of risk and capital management under Solvency II? Then take part in our completely virtual but of course personally supervised simulation:

"Managing Risk and Capital in a Volatile World - Business Simulation for the Insurance Industry" from 12-16 April 2021, scheduled from 9:00-13:00 CEST each day.

The online course will be based on an interactive management simulation developed by TOPSIM and Swiss Re. For altogether five half-days, you will take the challenging role of an executive board, managing an insurance company under the existing Solvency II regime.

The virtual EAA Forum will start with an introduction to the business simulation. Groups of up to five Board Members will then run their own company with decisions on strategy and operations to be taken on a yearly basis. After each year of simulation a detailed analysis and discussion of the companies' performance and the effects of Solvency II on risk and capital management will be conducted by the instructors. Finally, after four simulated business years, a look back will decide which company took the most successful strategy!

Please visit our
website  or see this print version for more detailed information like the full programme. Seats are very limited to allow for active exchange amongst participants so use the online booking form to save your place soon.
